WHO WE ARE
RL Bethany Haitian Relief Services Inc., is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of New Jersey. We provide humanitarian relief efforts and crisis prevention to our Haitian brothers and sisters, both in Haiti and in the United States. Our organization stands on the principles of solidarity and direct action. We aim to support the Haitian community during times of crisis and the subsequent phases of recovery or resettlement.
VISION
RLBHRS ultimate goal is to provide relief to Haitians in crisis in Haiti and the United States. We are committed to coordinating and facilitating sustainable ways to assist and empower our Haitian brothers and sisters.
OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a grant to open and operate a Welcome Center in the Newark area. It will allow us to provide all the emergency services that we usually facilitate, at one location. The Welcome Center will be a one stop location aiming at welcoming people who seek immediate services as they immerse themselves in American society. We would like to be able to provide assistance to migrant families who need coats, blankets, clothes, shoes, toiletries and food on site. We will also provide counseling, job readiness training, ESL classes, GED classes and referral services on site.
